Ardan Community Living

This logo design project is for a women’s sober living community in Washington, D.C. The program houses eleven women in the early stages of their recovery, focusing on community, positivity, and a holistic approach to wellness.

The name “Ardan” means terrace in Irish. It alludes to the fenced-in garden on the property, promoting positivity and healing.

The house where the community living program operates is beautiful, safe, and peaceful. I wanted to capture that in the logo. I used the color of the house to project calmness and serenity.

I incorporated the name of the program, using a clean and sharp san serif font.

I added plants native to Ireland to signify the program’s commitment to a holistic approach to healing. I brightened the color a bit and tightened the composition.

I also created a version of the logo where a solid, stable, yet elegant serif “A” (for Ardan) replaces the image of the house. This logo would be ideal for stationery and print applications.
